BABEL / Aswat al-Iraq: At least 13 people were killed and 57 others were wounded on Thursday in a car bomb explosion that targeted Shiite visitors in northern Babel.

 

"A car crammed with explosives went off this evening in al-Musayab region, northern Babel, targeting a Shiite procession heading to Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen occasion, killing 13 and injuring 57," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

 

Casualties are most likely to increase as several wounded persons are in critical condition.
