KIRKUK/ Aswat l-Iraq: Haweeja demonstrators' supervisor said today that about 2500 persons were gathered to have a unified Friday's prayers.
They called to release the male and female detainees and cancelling terrorism and de-Baathification laws.
Qais al-Jbouri told Aswat al-Iraq the unified prayers were held, 65 km south west Kirkuk.
He added that their demands were constitutional and legitimate.
The sit-in here started on Wednesday, 23 January, 2013, that will continue till their demands are met.
Army forces tried to prevent the demonstrators from stationing their tents by digging the sit-in square, which obliged them to move from their place to a nearby in the same square.
