ANBAR/ Aswat al-Iraq: Fallujah city demonstrators called today to "topple Premier's Nouri al-Maliki's government and Anbar governor Qassim al-Mahdawi".
Demonstrators condemned Maliki's "attempt to neglect the Sunni sect".
Governor Mahdawi prevented live broadcast of the demonstration on Anbar TV, as told to Aswat al-Iraq.
Last Friday, demonstrators cut off the international highway connecting Iraq with Syria and Jordan in protest for arresting Issawi's bodyguards and neglecting the Sunni sect.
On the other hand, a Kurdish delegation arrived here today to participate in the demonstrations that called for toppling Maliki's government.
The Kurdish demonstrators carried Kurdish and Iraqi flags, as witnessed by Aswat al-Iraq correspondent.
Last Thursday reports said that a number of finance minister Rafi' al-Issawi's bodyguards were arrested for terrorism charges, while Issawi's closed circles called for peaceful demonstrations in protest for such arrests.
Iraqiya bloc held an emergency meeting, during which Premier Nouri al-Maliki was criticized for "attacking the Sunni sect"., as stated later.
Finance Minister Rafi' al-Issawi called for the resignation of Maliki and called the parliament to withdraw confidence from the government, which was initiated few months earlier.
