BAGHDAD/Aswat al-Iraq: Parliament Security and Defence Commission MP called to entrust security affairs to the local police forces instead of the army and federal police.
MP Mudh-hir al-Janabi, in a statement issued today, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq; he added that "the same militarism signs remained in the country that denotes the existence of emergency status".
He called for withdrawing the army not from Anbar province, but from Baghdad which turned into "military garrison".
Janabi added that the role of the army is out of the cities to protect the country from intruders and terrorists.
The demonstrators in Sunni areas, particularly in Anbar, Ninewa and Salahal-Din provinces continuously called to put the army out of the cities, due to their violent practices that led to killing 7 and wounding 60 in Anbar province.
