BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq:  Demonstrators in Tahreer (Liberation) Square threatened to hold an open and general sit-in in all provinces if their demands are not met.

They decided to change the slogan of Friday's demonstration from 'Demonstrations' Friday" to of "We are all Hadi al-Mehdi" in honor of one its leaders, according to a statement made by the protestors.

Hadi al-Mehdi, an organizer of Fridays' protest, was found assassinated in his residence in central Baghdad last Thursday, on the eve of the Friday demonstration.

The statement, as received by Aswat al-Iraq, and signed by many youth movements, called for expelling occupation forces, non-extension of their stay, express apology for the Iraqi people and compensate it materially.

It added to dissolve the government, formation of a new temporary one comprising of the technocrats that will call for new honest election void of sectarianism, release of innocent detainees, declare secret prisons to the public, and expose the killers of assassinated journalist Hadi al-Mehdi.
