NINEWA/ Aswat al-Iraq: Police sources said here today that a mosque Imam was wounded in an attack against his mosque by unknown group.

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that the unknown attackers stormed into the mosque in Shura area, 20 km south of Mosul, and shot him with machine guns.

No other details were given.

Mosul, center of the province, lies 405 km north of the capital, Baghdad.
