1/6/2013 1:34 PM

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Close parliamentary circles stated that the State of Law bloc boycotted today parliamentary session called for by Speaker Usama Nujaifi, while Iraqiya bloc, Kurdish Alliance, the Sadrist Trend, the Higher Islamic Council and Free Iraqiya bloc took part in the session.

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that White Iraqiya bloc was the first blocs that refused to attend.

Today, the meeting of the heads of political blocs was held to discuss the matters to be raised in the extraordinary session and the demands of the demonstrators, the source added.

Iraq is witnessing "one of the most dangerous crises" in its history after 2003, through massive protests that extended to Anbar, Salahal-Din, Ninewa, Kirkuk, Diala and Baghdad, as well as other areas in the country.

The protestors demanded the release of male and female prisoners and detainees and cancellation of terrorism and de-Baathification laws and to rectify the political process in the country.
