1/5/2013 7:06 PM

BABEL / Aswat al-Iraq: Local government official excluded that ex-vice president of Saddam Hussein, Izzat al-Douri, is present in the province.

Al-Douri claimed through media organs that he is present in the province.

Security Commission responsible Haidar al-Ajili told Aswat al-Iraq that "al-Douri utilized the demonstrations taking place in the country for his media presence on certain suspicious TV channels".

He called the public to notify any "expected movement of al-Douri", pointing that "he will not be able to have any shelter in the province".

Al-Douri, ex-deputy of previous president Saddam Hussein, attacked, yesterday, Friday, Iraqi premier Nouri al-Maliki and accused him of "implementing an Iranian project to divide the country".

He supported the demonstrations and protests made in Anbar, Salah al-Din and Ninewa provinces, disclosing his actual presence in Babel province.

Hilla, center of the province, lies 100 km south of Baghdad.
