BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: An International Conference of "Solidarity with the Palestinian & Arab Prisoners and Detainees in Israeli Occupation Jails", sponsored by the League of Arab States and hosted by the Republic of Iraq, will be held on 11 & 12 of December 2012 in Baghdad.

Iraq will host the conference in its capacity as the current president of the Arab summit, as Baghdad hosted the last summit in March 2011.

The conference shall be inaugurated by Iraqi president Jalal Talabani, Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas and Arab League Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi.

The conference will have live testimonies, studies and shows on the situation and agonies of detainees in occupation prisons.
