Deputy Premier Mutlaq injured by protestors in Anbar
12/30/2012 3:30 PM

ANBAR/ Aswat al-Iraq: Anbar protestors' sources said today that deputy premier Saleh al-Mutlaq was hit by one of the demonstrators when trying to mount the sit-in  platform in Ramadi.

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that some of the protestors threw Mutlaq with water bottles and stones, who was injured in his face.

The source added that his bodyguards were unable to prevent the protestors from hitting Mutlaq.

The rejection of Mutlaq was due to his recent pro-premier Nouri al-Maliki statements and accusing the protestors with denominationalism and politicizing the demonstrations for political ends.

Ramadi, center of the province, lies 110 km west of the capital, Baghdad.
