Iraqi Olympic Commission to amend law on Saturday
ARBIL/ Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi National Olympic Commission will hold it is meeting next Saturday to amend it is law, as well as approving it is financial and administrative report for this year.
First Deputy of the Commission Bashar Mustapha told Aswat al-Iraq that "many topics shall be amended to be submitted to the specialized authorities for endorsement".
The Commission is still working on the basis of Doukan Law of 2003, following the collapse of the previous regime.
"It is expected that the new amendments will "give more freedom to work outside the daily routine", he added.
The General Assembly of the Commission comprises of 33 members, representing the central committees in addition to four governmental representative of ministries of defence, interior, education and higher education, as well as representative of the central government and a member of non-Olympic federations.
