KARBALA / Aswat al-Iraq: Commander of the al-Fourat al-Awsat Operations said on Friday that the security plan of the Arbaeen visit has succeeded and managed to put everything under control, noting that the forces managed to prevent 16 attacks on Shiites visitors.

 

 

"The security plan mapped out to protect millions of Shiite visitors heading to Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen visit has completely succeeded despite the unprecedented participation of Shiites," General Othman al-Ghanemi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

 

 

"The forces managed to prevent any violation or attacks against Shiite visitors as they faced 16 attempts to violate Karbala borders by car bombs and suicide bombers," he added.
