Alawi participates in Parliamentary extraordinary session

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Parliamentary sources disclosed here today that Iraqiya bloc leader Iyad Alawi arrived to participate in pre-session dialogues, with attempts to have another two votes to hold the greatly-disputable session, which was boycotted by most of the National Alliance components.

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that Speaker Usama Nujaifi was turned into discussion one, due to the lack of attendance.

Alawi rarely participates in Parliamentary sessions.

More than half of parliamentary members should attend, which necessitated a minimum figure of 163 members.

Other sources reported that 170 members registered attending the session, which will enable holding it, but the withdrawal of the Muwatin bloc members decreased the figure to 153 members, which necessitated having 10 more members to hold the session.
