Majority of Aswat al-Iraq’s readers agree that Arab Summit won’t be held in its scheduled time.

BAGHDAD / Aswart al-Iraq: A referendum, carried out by readers of Aswat al-Iraq news Agency’s Arabic, Kurdish and English bulletins, have expressed expectation that the Baghdad’s Arab Summit won’t be held in its scheduled time in the Iraqi capital in May next.

 

The referendum, carried out by Aswat al-Iraq’s electronic website for its Arabic bulletin during the period from April 12 to 20, showed that 377 voters, representing 76.68% of the total 491 voters believed that the Arab Summit won’t be held in Baghdad in its scheduled time, due to the current challenges facing the Arab Region.

 

It also showed that 91 of the voters, representing 18.6% have expressed expectation that the Summit would be held in its scheduled time, whilst 23 of them (4.7%) have failed to express confidence about the holding of the Summit.

 

Seventeen voters, representing 62.96% out of 27 readers of the Agency’s Kurdish bulletin expressed doubts that the summit would be held in its scheduled time, whilst 8 of them, representing 29.62% of them have said that the summit would be held in Baghdad in its scheduled time, despite the great developments in the Region, whilst 2 of them (7.4%) have failed to express confidence about the holding of the summit.

 

As for the readers of Aswat al-Iraq’s English bulletin, their viewpoints had been different, as 152 of them, representing 57.47% of the total 264 voters, have voted that the Summit would be held in Baghdad in its scheduled time, whilst 92 of them (34.86%) saw that the Summit won’t be held in its schedule time, along with 20 others (7.66%) could not confirm that the Summit would be held or not held.
