UN delegation arrives in Anbar
ANBAR/ Aswat al-Iraq: Anbar Provincial Council member Mizhir al-Mulla announced today that an UN delegation arrived here to discuss political matters with the demonstrators and to reach an understanding with the central government.
Mulla told Aswat al-Iraq that the delegation will discuss the demonstrators' demands and to reach a contact channel with Baghdad.
Since 22 December 2012, Anbar province witnessed massive demonstrations and sit-in, in addition to Ninewa, Salahal-Din, Diala, Kirkuk and Baghdad demanding the release of innocent detainees and prisoners, while others called for toppling Maliki's government.
Ramadi, center of the province, lies 110 km west of the capital, Baghdad.
