7 gunmen, 2 suspects busted south of Kirkuk

KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: Seven wanted men and two suspected gunmen were arrested on Wednesday in south of Kirkuk, a police source said.
 
"A joint force of Kirkuk districts Police Department, backed by army troops, waged a crackdown operation at dawn in Daqouq district's villages, south of Kirkuk, where they arrested seven wanted men and two suspects," the source, who asked for anonymity, told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
 
"The operation was launched in light of intelligence information," he added, noting that the seven detainees are members of the al-Qaeda's Islamic State of Iraq armed group.
