2 killed, 15 wounded in car explosion in Khalis area

DIALA/ Aswat al-Iraq: Security sources said here today that two persons were killed and 15 wounded in a bombed car explosion driven by suicide.

The attack was directed against a military check point at the entrance of Khalis city in Diala province.

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that these figures are the first toll of casualties, with expectations to rise.

Baqouba, center of Diala province, lies 57 km north east of the capital, Baghdad.
