BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Tariq al-Hashimi's office denied news reports that the Jordanian government rejected receiving him and deporting his family.
The statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, added that Hashimi did not submit any request to enter the Jordanian territories.
It added that a number of Hashimi's family are residing in Jordan and move freely there.
Kuwaiti al-Qabas daily reported on 18 January instant that Iraqi diplomatic sources in Amman stated that the Jordanian government rejected receiving Hashimi and informed his family to leave the country.
