12/24/2012 6:39 PM

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: State of Law MP Shakir al-Daraji called the Iraqi government to adopt "drastic" measures against Turkey to stop its violations against Iraq and its intervention in internal affairs.

Daraji called to file a suit at the UN Security Council and to cut off relations with Turkey in different fields as well as cancelling the contracts of the Turkish companies working in the country.

In a press statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, he criticized Turkish Premier Reccep Tayyip Erdogan statements on Iraqi government as "a minority Shiite government".

He regarded Erdogan's comments as "avowed intervention in Iraqi internal affairs".
