BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: A total of 24,000 pilgrims have returned to the country, and next Monday will witness the return of the last patch of them, an official of the higher authority for Hajj and Umra said on Wednesday.
"More than 24,000 pilgrims have returned to Iraq," Nejm al-Saadi said at a press conference, noting that the land trips through the Arar crossing point have ended, while air flights continue by four daily flights from airports in Jeddah and Medina to Baghdad, Basra, Ninewa, Sulaimaniya, Arbil and Najaf airports.
"There are 7,500 pilgrims still in Saudi Arabia and will leave the country in the coming four days," he added.
