SALAHALDIN/ Aswat al-Iraq: Police sources said here today that two soldiers were killed and 5 more wounded in Beiji area, north of Tikrit.

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that a bombed car was cornered on the side of the road, 40 km north of Tikrit, targeting a military patrol.

Some military vehicles were damaged, as the source added.

Tikrit, center of the province, lies 175 km north of the capital, Baghdad.
