ANBAR/ Aswat al-Iraq: Chairman of Fallujah local council Sheikh Hameed al-Hashim disclosed today that Baghdad will witness a sit-in for the people of Anbar province if the government continued neglecting the demands of the demonstrators.

Sheikh al-Hashim told Aswat al-Iraq that Fallujah sit-in will continue till the legitimate rights are implemented.

He pointed out that Premier Nouri al-Maliki's government continued ignoring the demands of the demonstrators, which matter is "unacceptable".

"So, Anbar people will organize their coming sit-in in mid of Baghdad it neglect is continued", he confirmed.

He reiterated that the sit-in is "peaceful" with no signs of carrying arms, as propagated by some Baghdad politicians.

Since 22 December 2012, Anbar province witnessed massive demonstrations and sit-in, in addition to Ninewa, Salahal-Din, Diala, Kirkuk and Baghdad demanding the release of innocent detainees and prisoners, while others called for toppling Maliki's government.

Fallujah is one of the cities of Anbar province that witnessed last Friday clashes between the demonstrators and the army forces that led to tens of casualties.

Fallujah lies 60 km west of Ramadi, center of the province that is situated 110 km west of the capital, Baghdad.
