BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Police sources said here today that an electricity official was killed by unknown gunmen in Adel Quarter, west of the capital.

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that the gunmen used weapons equipped with silencers against the official who was leaving his house in the morning.

The culprits fled the crime scene, as the sources added.

No other details were given.
