8/22/2012 2:49 PM

ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi security forces have closed the Albu Kamal crossing point in western Anbar, a source from the border guards command said on Wednesday.

“Security forces closed the Albu Kamal crossing in al-Qaem district, western Anbar, on Syrian borders, using concrete blocks in 400 metres,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The forces installed a number of cameras, in addition to enhancing security deployments along the border between Iraq and Syria,” he added.

Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, lies 110 km west of Baghdad.
