KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: The building of the Holy Quran Radio Station in northern Iraq’s city of Kirkuk had been set on fire by unknown armed men, according to the a Kirkuk security source on Saturday.
“The building of the Holy Quran at the center of Kirkuk city had been set on fire by unknown armed men on Friday evening, causing severe damage to the building,” the security source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
He said that the preliminary investigation had shown that a group of unknown armed men had set fire to the building and escaped for an unknown destination, whilst investigation still continued.
Kirkuk is 280 km to the northeast of Baghdad.
