BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiar Zebari met on Thursday with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain Salah Ali Al-Maliki.

"Minister Zebari stressed on the keenness of the government and the Iraqi officials to support and develop the bilateral relations on the basis of common interests and non-interference in internal affairs," the foreign ministry said in a statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

"They discussed also the situation in the Middle East and the Kingdom of Bahrain," it added.

The meeting was attended by Undersecretary for Policy Planning and Bilateral Relations, Head of the Arab Department and the Minister's Office Manager.
