WASSIT / Aswat al-Iraq: Policemen arrested on Thursday six wanted men in separate areas in Wassit, a police source said.
"The forces waged a security operation in different areas in Wassit, where they arrested six wanted men, including four captured in accordance with Article VI Terrorism Law in al-Suweira district, north of Kut," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
"Another force arrested a wanted man according to Article 405 of the Penal Code and detained a gangster in central Kut," he added.
Kut, the capital of Wassit, is located 180 km southeast of Baghdad.
