BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Two policemen were killed in an armed attack in southeast of Falluja, a police source said on Thursday.

 

 

"An armed group attacked a checkpoint in al-Naamiya region, southeast of Falluja, killing two policemen as they were shot by light and medium weapons," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

 

 

"Security forces tightened measures to arrest the perpetrators, who fled to an unknown place," the source noted.

 

 

Falluja is 60 km west of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, which lies 110 km west of Baghdad.
