Senior officer, soldier killed, three guards wounded in Falluja

ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: A senior army officer and a soldier was killed and three of his bodyguards were wounded Wednesday in a sticky bomb explosion in eastern Falluja, a police source said.
 
 
"A bomb, stuck to an army vehicle patrol, went off on the international road in eastern Falluja, killing Colonel Aamer Adnan and one of his soldiers and injuring three of his bodyguards,"  the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
 
 
Falluja is 60 km west of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, which lies 110 km west of Baghdad.
