Hashimi accuses PM, calls for early elections
6/3/2011 11:59 AM

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Vice-President Tariq Al-Hashimi accused Premier Nouri Al-Maliki of "taking decisions unilaterally," pointing out that the "best solution for the political crisis is to conduct early elections."

In a statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, Hashimi added that "the PM has no solution to the present crisis except fleeing from political forces by his weak promises".

"Maliki will not be able to achieve the national partnership, because he is eager for the (necessity leader) idea", the statement added.

Hashimi pointed out that "the current situation will not last for long, so the early elections is the safest solution".
