2 arrested for terrorism charges north Tikrit

SALAHAL-DIN / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi army forces arrested two wanted persons for terrorist charges and seized an explosives dump north Tikrit.

Security sources told Aswat al-Iraq that the force made a raid near Beiji refinery, 40 km north Tikrit, which resulted in the arrest.

On the other side, the explosive dump contained 127 anti-aircraft shells and other explosive items.

The raid was made according to intelligence information, but no details were given.

Tikrit, center of the province, lies 170 km north of the capital, Baghdad, which is regarded one of the hot areas for it is violent actions that are directed against the armed forces and the civilians, alike.
