7 policemen, 2 civilians wounded in Baghdad protests

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Seven policemen and two civilians were wounded in mass protests in al-Tahrir Square in central Baghdad on Friday, according to the Baghdad Operations Command.
“Demonstrators hurled stones at policemen in al-Tahrir Square, central Baghdad, today (Feb. 25), leaving seven wounded,” the semi-official al-Iraqiya TV quoted the BOC in a statement.
“Two civilian protesters were also wounded, in the incidents,” he added.
