ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: Three policemen were killed and one was wounded in an armed attack in south of Falluja, a police source said on Thursday.

 

 

"An armed group attacked a police checkpoint in al-Naaimiya region, south of Falluja, using silenced guns, killing three policemen and injuring a fourth one," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

 

 

"Security forces rushed to the scene and started to track down the perpetrators, who fled to unknown place," he added.

 

 

Falluja is 60 km west of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, which lies 110 km west of Baghdad.
