BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Security sources said here today that two persons were killed and 9 wounded in a bombed car explosion in Sadr city, mid of Baghdad.

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that the car was cornered in a square in Shiite Sadr city, east of Baghdad, in east Baghdad.

The explosion resulted in destroying nearby shops and vehicles.

Though this toll is released, but some of the wounded were critical conditions, as reported by the source.

No other details were given.
