NAJAF/ Aswat al-Iraq: United Nations representative to Iraq Martin Kobler, following his meeting with renowned clergyman Ali al-Sistani, expressed his concern of the events occurring in Iraq, the increasing volume of the demonstrations and non-availability of dialogue in horizon.
In a press conference, attended by Aswat al-Iraq, following his meeting with al-Sistani, he disclosed that "the talks were condensed and good, during which I expressed our increasing concern for non-availability of dialogue to solve the crisis".
He added that "there are demands that necessitate discussing and solving them according to law".
"All have the right to peacefully demonstrate, which is accepted by the constitution", he elaborated.
Kobler pointed out that there are some acceptable demands, while others are unrealistic, "but the main thing is to sit and discuss and solve them".
