SALAHALDIN/ Aswat al-Iraq: Security said here today that a cop was killed in a bombed car blast in Balad market, south of Tikrit.

The source added that another cop and three civilians were wounded in the explosion.

The explosion was done a car cornered in the market resulted in no casualties, but the second one in the same car led to the casualties.

Balad area lies 110 km south of Tikrit city, center of the province, which is situated 175 km north of the capital, Baghdad.

The province suffered yesterday a suicidal terrorist action against mourning ceremony in Touz area that resulted in killing 21 and wounding 50 more.
