ARBIL / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraq's President Jalal Talabani will meet on Monday with President of Kurdistan Massoud Barzani in Arbil, according to the website of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

 

 

"The meeting will tackle the latest developments in the country and ways of solving the current tension between Baghdad and Arbil".

 

 

Tensions between Baghdad and the autonomous Kurdistan region in northern Iraq have been running high after the establishment of a new

military command covering disputed territory, and over various other long-running disputes.
