3 mortar shells fell south west Kirkuk

KIRKUK/ Aswat al-Iraq: Police source said here today that three mortar shells fell near the entrance of Riyadh area, 45 km south west Kirkuk.

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that no human or material losses were reported.

The shells fell near a police check point, as reported by the sources.

No other details were given.

Kirkuk, center of the province, lies 280 km north east the capital, Baghdad.

It is one of the disputed areas between Baghdad and Arbil, which suffers continued terrorist attacks against the military and civilians, alike.
