KARBALA/ Aswat al-Iraq: Security sources said here today that the toll of the bombed car explosion north of the city reached to 17 wounded, mostly of Afghan visitors to holy shrines.

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that four of the victims are in critical conditions.

The explosion took place in the garage near their bus, the source added.

Karbala, center of the province, lies 108 km south west of the capital, Baghdad.
