BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Deputy Premier Saleh al-Mutlaq denounced today the shooting against Fallujah demonstrators, warning that will lead the country into a civil war.
He threatened to leave his post if arms continued to be used against the demonstrators, shouldering the responsibility on the army.
In a statement by his office, Mutlaq added, during his meeting with Baghdad tribal sheikhs, that "what happened today is a dangerous action that will lead the country to a dangerous path".
He warned against the civil war, as happened in Syria with no light to end it.
He hoped that this incident will be the last "so the situation will not be out of control".
