Parliament speaker’s motorcade attacked south of Mosul

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: The motorcade of speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Osama al-Nujaifi was attacked on Sunday in south of Mosul city, a source from the Ninewa police department said.
 
“A roadside bomb went off on Sunday targeting the motorcade of Speaker of the parliament Osama al-Nujaifi in al-Qayara district, south of Mosul, without causing casualties or damage, the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
 
Al-Nujaifi had arrived in Arbil with Iyad Allawi and Finance Minister Rafi’ al-Issawi this afternoon to hold talks with Kurdish officials.
