DIALA / Aswat al-Iraq: A Sahwa fighter was killed on Monday while three others were wounded in an armed attack in south of Baaquba, a police source said.
"An armed group, believed to be affiliated to al-Qaeda, attacked a checkpoint of Sahwa fighters using silenced guns in al-Salam neighborhood in Bahraz district, south of Baaquba, killing one and injuring three," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Baaquba, the capital of Diala, lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad.
