BASRA / Aswat al-Iraq: The first investment power station was opened today in Basra province with a capacity of 100 megawatts and for a cost of $100 million.
The station's production will be allocated to Basra province alone, as it will buy the produced electricity from the Saudi company that built it.
The company is expected to build a second investment project with a capacity of 150 megawatts and a cost of $175 million.
The project opened today was completed in 100 days, while the second will be completed in six months, sources said to Aswat al-Iraq.
