BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki held on Wednesday talks with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah.
This came on the sideline of his participation in the Islamic countries summit in the Egyptian capital Cairo.
“Talks dwelt with the latest political developments in the regions and issues of common interest,” said a statement from al-Maliki’s office received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The Iraqi official during the meeting congratulated the Kuwaiti emir on holding the parliamentary elections weeks ago, wishing Kuwait more development and prosperity in various domains.
