WASSIT / Aswat al-Iraq: A woman set herself on fire on Monday due to a family argument in the city of Kut, a security source said.

 

"A 40-year-old woman with 4 children showered with gasoline and set herself on fire inside her house in al-Shuhadaa region, eastern Kut, and died immediately," the source told Aswat al-Iraq.

 

"Police arrested the husband as the family of the wife accused him of pushing her to commit suicide," he added.

 

Kut, the capital of Wassit, is 180 km southeast of Baghdad.
