WASSIT / Aswat al-Iraq: Two children died on Tuesday and their father was seriously wounded when their house collapsed as a result of heavy rains in central Kut, a medic said.

 

 

"The two children died and their father was wounded in the wee small hours of the morning because of the heavy rain which ravaged their house in central Kirkuk," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

 

 

"The two bodies were sent to the al-Zahraa hospital's morgue," he added, noting that the father was admitted to the same hospital.

 

 

Kut, the capital of Wassit, is 180 km southeast of Baghdad.
