BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Parliament Speaker Usama Nujaifi shouldered the responsibility of 60 Fallujah casualties on Premier Nouri al-Maliki, while Kurdish Region President Masoud Barzani and the Sadrist leader Muqtada al-Sadr denounced the incident calling the government to take measures to protect the peaceful demonstrators.
Nujaifi shouldered responsibility to Maliki in his capacity as Commander in Chief of the armed forces, pointing out that the current demonstrations "reflect the unjust and neglect situations against these cities".
He called the demonstrators to "self-control", confirming his continued support for their just demands.
On the other side, Barzani "severely denounced" the killings and described them as "violations against the Iraqi constitution".
He called to take the utmost measures against the attackers, hoping that the demonstrators will continue their peaceful moves despite the incidents.
Sadrist leader Muqtada al-Sadr denounced the killings, but stressed the continuation of peaceful demonstrations.
He called the army and security personnel to "self-control" and "protection of the demonstrators".
Earlier, Iraqiya bloc denounced the killings and held Maliki responsible, calling the National Alliance to replace him because "he became a danger against the political process in the country".
