3 mortar shells fell in mid Tikrit

SALAHALDIN/ Aswat al-Iraq: Security sources said here today that three mortar shells fell in mid Tikrit, one near the site of the demonstrators.

No human or material losses were reported, as stated to Aswat al-Iraq.

The source added that the first shell fell near the Great Mosque near the demonstrators, the second in festivities square and the third on ex-presidential sites in the city.

Tikrit, center of the province, lies 175 km north of the capital, Baghdad.
