ARBIL/ Aswat al-Iraq: Kurdish region president Masoud Barzani stressed here today that the problems with Baghdad is connected with the nature of the rule in the country.
He pointed out that all questions are "liable for solutions provided there is a will to finalize them".
Barzani confirmed that the United States stressed necessity to solve the questions with dialogue within the constitutional contexts.
During a meeting with US State Secretary envoy Advisor Britt Mac Kirk, both sides discussed the political situation in Iraq, particularly Baghdad-Arbil crisis.
In a statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, Mac Kirk reviewed "preliminary US vision on how to solve the problems in Iraq through dialogue and constructive discussions", hoping that they will be solved within the Iraqi constitution and the political agreements reached.
US envoy expressed the concern of his government on deepening crisis between Baghdad and Arbil, pointing that "the Kurdish region is part of the federal government, so it is necessary to find drastic solutions to these problems".
According to the statement, Barzani sent a letter to the National Alliance, but is still waiting for an answer.
