WASSIT / Aswat al-Iraq: A total of 1019 policemen have been graduatedand will join the border guards in Wassit, Wassit police chief said on Monday.

“Kut military base, western Kut, organized on Monday a festivity tocelebrate the graduation of policemen, who spent 45 days in the course,”General Hussein Abdulhadi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The 1019 cops are from Diala, Wassit and Baghdad provinces,” headded, pointing out that the ceremony was attended by Wassit Governor Mahdial-Zubaidi, and Lawmaker Qassem al-Aaraji.

Kut, the capital of Wassit, lies 180 km southeast of Baghdad.
